Judging & awards
Anonymous judging by at least two experts, a published rubric and written feedback for every team.
How projects are judged
After the submission deadline, the organizers check every project for missing files and rule violations. Approved projects are then assigned to judges who are experts in the category. Judges do not see the names of students, advisors or schools.
Each project is scored by at least two judges. If their total scores differ by more than 20 points, a third judge scores the project. The final score is the average of all judges' scores.
Feedback for every team
When results are published, every team can see its final score, the score for each criterion and the judges' written comments in its participant dashboard. Judges' names stay private.
Certificates
Every student receives a certificate. Award winners receive a certificate that names their medal or award. Each certificate carries a unique code and QR code, so universities and schools can check it on the WISE website.
